1. Responsible Controller
The data controller responsible for data processing in this app is:
Ulrich-von-Hutten-Str. 20
70825 Stuttgart
Germany
The data controller determines, alone or jointly with others, the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
2. General Information on Data Processing
Turtle Tide is an arcade game. We do not collect, store, or process any personal data, game saves, or metrics on our own servers. All game-related data remains locally on your device by default, unless the third-party services listed below (Google) are used.
3. Local Data Storage (Fallback)
If you do not use "Google Play Games" services, your local leaderboard (high scores) and unlocked achievements are saved exclusively locally on your device. This data is not shared anywhere and is not transmitted to us or any third parties. Uninstalling the app deletes this local data.
4. Google Play Games Services
The app offers an optional integration with "Google Play Games Services" to provide global leaderboards and an achievement system. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
If you choose to use this service, your Google account name, player ID, high scores, and achievements will be transmitted to and stored on Google servers to make them available across platforms and compare them with other players.
Usage is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) granted by actively signing into the service. You can disconnect from Google Play Games at any time in your Google Account settings.
5. Google AdMob (Advertising)
To finance this app, we use Google AdMob, an advertising network provided by Google Ireland Limited.
AdMob uses advertising IDs (e.g., the Google Advertising ID on Android) as well as cookies or comparable technologies to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements. In doing so, information about your use of the app, your IP address, and device data may be transmitted to Google.
- Personalized Ads: Served only if you have granted us your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) via the consent dialog when starting the app.
- Non-Personalized Ads: Technical identifiers are also used here to ensure features like frequency capping (limiting ad impressions). This is done based on our legitimate interest in financing the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or in accordance with statutory consent requirements for storing information on terminal devices.
For more information about data usage by Google AdMob, please visit: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
6. Firebase Crashlytics & Google Analytics
To improve app stability and analyze app usage, we integrate services from Firebase, a development platform by Google Ireland Limited.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect crash reports. If the app crashes, anonymized information about the crash (device type, OS version, time of crash, app state) is transmitted to Google servers. This data contains no direct identifying features and is used exclusively for troubleshooting (Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Google Analytics for Firebase: In the future, we may use this service to understand how users interact with the app. Aggregated usage data (e.g., session duration, features used) and device data are processed. IP addresses are anonymized by default. Analytics data collection occurs only after your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
7. Your Rights as a User
Under applicable GDPR provisions, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access: You have the right to obtain free information about your stored personal data.
- Right to Rectification, Blocking, or Deletion: You have the right to have incorrect data corrected or your data deleted or blocked.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You can withdraw any previously given consent (e.g., for personalized ads or analytics) at any time with effect for the future (e.g., in the app settings or your device's system settings).
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
For requests regarding access, deletion, or correction, please contact the address listed under Section 1 above.
